rent-clothes-thredupTired of the same old clothes collecting dust in your closet?  Want to buy new clothes but not sure if you want to invest an arm and a leg to do so?  Check out ThredUP, a Cambridge, Massachusetts based company that enables its members to exchange clothing with other people via the mail.

ThredUP follows a model similar to Netflix.  Use prepaid envelopes to swap clothes that you don’t wear that often with clothes that you will.  You set up a virtual closet that represents your wardrobe of clothes you would like to trade… and tell ThredUP what kind of clothes you would like to receive in return.

Currently they have a special offer – 3 prepaid envelopes for $12.50.  Right now they are only allowing members to trade shirts, but plan to exchange to other clothing types in the future.  Check em’ out at thredUP.
